Thailand!
Hey guys! Looks like I wasn't the only person to stop posting!
As you may or may not know, I was in Thailand for the past two months! I didn't actually do very much outside of working in the lab, so it wasn't too interesting event wise.
Travel Recap!:
- Flight there was long. Sat next to an old man who didn't know how to use the mini-TVs. (He was very enthused about my help though, it was nice). "Handsome Suit" is a neat Japanese film. (One of the minor characters was played by an actor from Kamen Rider Kabuto!)
- Three things about the lab I worked in: 1) Really nice bunch of people, 2)Three guys out of 23, 3)Everyone had tiny hands.
- Three things about lab work: 1) Cleanliness is next to good quality control, 2) Bring something to do or PCR (of any sort) is really boring, 3) It's tedious at times.
- Apparently, there's a five day string of Buddhist holidays in July. I got a vacation. Went to a floating market (doesn't really float in any sense of the word), visited a mountain (saw a wild elephant, some deer, bunch of monkeys), had a boat ride down a canal( and saw fireflies), visited eight temples (and set 4 turtles free). On the way back to Chiang Mai, had the comfiest bus ride ever.
That was a good two months! Hope everyone going abroad will have as good an experience I did.
