Vietnamese Food!!!
Hey guys!!! How are your quarters/semesters going?
Soooo...this week I went to downtown L.A to have lunch with my New Vietnam class, and we went to this little place called Blossom Cafe. We had like 24 people, and our professor had convinced USC that the place was pretty cheap, so we got funding for it and it didn't cost us a cent! Woohoo for free food! I ate with Ariana, Kim, and Elaine. They're Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese/Chinese, and they're really cool. I had vermicelli with vegetarian egg rolls (sooo good!!!) and fish sauce. Only I didn't know it was fish sauce until MUCH MUCH later....O_O...I didn't taste anything fishy, so I'm kind of suspicious now. Anyways, all the servings were really really HUGE, so we got to take some home for dinner (yay for more free food!). And of course, we got lost on the way back to campus because none of us thought that we would be terrible at reading maps/navigating the streets...I had to make this really mad dash to get to chemistry lab on time. =]
So now I'm in my dorm, thinking about how to get back to downtown again. Maybe I can catch a bus later...
Sorry for the random spiel about food. I was just really excited =].
