hey-low!

it's starting to rain. here comes the rainy season. this morning there was thunder, and apparently it's going to rain for the weekend and most of next week as well. i dunno if i'm going to be used to all this rain--have we EVER had rain in september for more than 2 days in LA? if so i dont remember...i'm not a big fan of rain though. it's annoying cause it gets everywhere, but apparently, i'm pretty pro at fast umbrella opening and closing (at least i think so) because of typhoon season practice in hong kong :). so maybe i am used to it.

work has been really really tiring. hours and hours of work. college life for me right now sounds like an oxymoron. ok, not really, but there is a heck of a load of work, and i guess that's what i get for taking 18 credits, but it's not like i had much of a choice.

yesterday afternoon there was a fundraiser called 'beat the crap out of cancer'. you get to pay $1 per hit with a sledgehammer to a car. it was pretty cool. i didn't go for it, but my friend tom did! he even got the sledgehammer stuck when he rammed it entirely through the car and through the insulation.

i also got my computer desk in the mail (so that i more space to work on my desk...it was my parents idea). that was like the best moment of the day...being able to work with my hands on something rather than writing and writing and writing! i'm proud that i assembled it, even though it was super easy. i take pleasure in the weird things of life.

yesterday was my friend sam's birthday, so we made this cake based on the board game called 'snafu' (if any of you know about it...XD) we went shopping at the local grocery store. we were so proud of ourselves for making that...yeah that was fun too.

ironically, right now i'm not in a too terribly anecdotal mood, so i'll leave the stories for later, if i feel like retelling my stories later...but, on the other hand, i want to hear from you guys! there are some of you whom i haven't called or heard a voice from since i left...expect a phone call (if my head isn't stuck in a book)
