I saved so much money on books by buying them online, I figured I'd spoil myself too! By buying this bag! It's made by the same people that made my green snooty bird bag. Twas expensive. BUT SO DARN CUTE! And so ME, don't you think? ;)
BTW, this post is dedicated to Stephenie Meyer. Even though she'll never read this. I'm sorry for downloading and sharing the leaked chapters of Midnight Sun! Please keep writing it :/ I want to know what happens! (But please stop talking about Bella's skin, and the burning thirst. It's already getting tiresome.)
AHEM. anyway. I guess I'll round out my first week of school.
Day 3 part 2: I went to the free BBQ hosted by the Garden Church in Calabassas. KRNBBQOMG! And RICE! Twas amazing. I met the friendliest people, and felt so free to be myself even in front of all these strangers. asian strangers. :D I'm going to join the church. They have carpools! If any of you LA people want to go too, let me know! <-- i'll get to see you!!! *incentive!* Day 4: Wow I have no idea what happened this day. I went to class! Um. I think that's pretty much it... Day 5: I woke up early to go to chapel but chapel was cancelled so I waited in the library for my mom and calvin! They came to help me drive back - I'm still learning freeway. My mom went to my dorm, and calvin stayed with me. He almost went to class with me, but we decided against it. It's a small class, and my math prof is a mix between terrorist, ninja, and comedian. So we played it safe. But I got out early :) *anecdote alert* So my math prof was telling the story of how exponential functions were discovered. The rice on the chess board - if you double the grains from square to square, after 64 squares you get billions. Anyway someone asked what that 64th number is, and he said 'is so big, you cannot even put in the calculator. your calculator would bomb.' hehehe! he has a breik accent. then calvin walked with me back to my dorm where my mom was napping on my bed. calvin took some of my twix. That's what the picture is of. Then I went home!
Over the weekend I wasnt actually HOME much, I went to a church retreat at murrieta hot springs. more white people food. :/ but it was nice to sit with people who wanted to sit with me - i didn't even have to ask! :) it's so nice to be loved. I was actually invited to go karaoke with eiichiro/jihan/charles but I was home so I couldnt! i really wanted to go! I was originally going to drive back to school with amanda shen on tues morn before our 11am class, but she jacked me (ie she apparently forgot she was going to drive up with me) so i had to drive up monday night. i actually like night driving better than day - i can see more easily with all the lights! weird huh. i missed out on sleeping in my own bed, doing things i needed to do without rushing, and watching the gossip girl premiere and the one tree hill premiere. but... it's okay, life's not always fair. At least I got to see/talk to David and Ashton before coming back to school.
I think I'm getting used to school - I don't feel nearly as miserable. Victoria (roommate) and I set up our new flatscreen tv (thank you dad!) last night and we have free cable! i've never had cable so its pretty awesome.
Today math was bad because we had a quiz and nobody definied 'polynomial' or 'function' correctly. :/ oh well. but the rest of the day was chill - i didn't do much. watched the episodes i missed yesterday, returned some books, bought a smoothie... Victoria is watching Azumanga Daioh on her laptop right now. it makes me miss tim. sorry this post was so rambly...
Oh. BTW! Can USC/UCLA people take the train to santa monica? it's an easy drive for me to go there, so we can totally meet up some time! I included a pic of deer walking outside my dorm window. :D
